Welcome

Marhaba!

Greetings from the Arabian Pearls and welcome to our website! The Omega Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is glad you are virtually visiting with us! Our members span the countries of the Arabian Peninsula including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia and the US where we provide Service to All Mankind with a unique Arabian Flair!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® was founded on January 15th at Howard University in Washington, D.C. with the mission to impact the lives of women in 20th century America. That mission has expanded both in its scope and impact as it now reaches around the world with chapters in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. That impact was felt in the Middle East in 2016 when our chapter was chartered in the United Arab Emirates. For the last seven years, Omega Theta Omega has worked to Soar to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, addressing the needs of the Middle East with our local service projects and in Africa with our Service with a Mission trips! We are so proud to be a part of furthering the sorority’s legacy and creating impactful change internationally.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. Be sure to visit our contacts page so that we can keep in touch if you would like to join us for public events, if you ever decide to visit the Middle East, or would like to follow us on social media.

Again, Thank You for virtually visiting with us! Inshallah, we hope to one day welcome you in person!

Mahsalama!

Greetings!

It is my distinct honor, privilege and pleasure to serve as Vice President, Program Chairman, Leadership Development Chairman and Chaplain of the Omega Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Service and Sisterhood have been the linchpin of our great Sorority for 115 years, and remains so today. We have full-time professional careers, yet we always make time to live out the true meaning of our mission to be of ‘Service to All Mankind.’ We do this while loving and supporting each other with a bond as strong as the ivy leaf as a symbol of what we hold so dear. In fact, this year marks my 38th anniversary as a member of this great Sisterhood. It is as rewarding now as it was back then when I had my initiation experience with 15 unique, confident, smart and impressive young ladies at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, where we were known as the ’16 Dimensions of Diversity.’ Today, I am surrounded by equally accomplished women in the United Arab Emirates, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those we serve. Alpha Kappa Alpha is truly a ‘Sisterhood with Purpose.’

During the year, we hope you will find time to follow us online and perhaps even join us, virtually and sometimes in person, as we continue ‘Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood’ through programs that empower families, build economic wealth, enhance the environment and uplift the community. Stay tuned!

Warm Regards,

Tracy S. Faulkner
